Bob's Birthday

Monday was Bob's birthday. We celebrated with the kids and Veronika and her dad on Sunday with steak dinner here at the house. He is taking his added years in stride. He spent most of the day working on computers and then some. Monday we did our usual babysitting and went to the show in the evening and then out for dessert at Big Boy. The computers have been an ongoing project for several days now. Don't know if this is The fix or not. We plan to go to the Zoo tomorrow as it is going to be a lovely day. Bob is still trying out is slr camera.

Hubble 3D at the Imax

Sunday we were all a little antsy to get out of the house. Bob had been wanting to go see Hubble 3D at the Imax at Greeenfield Village. We took my dad along as he spends way to much time in his room. It was a long trip there but worth it. I must say it only took us about 45 minutes to get there. The 3D on the movie was fabulous and Bob thinks it was probably the best 3D he has seen. It was pretty amazing. I vote that the Hubble was a great success in that it brought the Universe so much closer to us. I would recommend everyone go see this.

St Patrick's Day

Ingrid seems to think that I should write in my blog on a more regular basis. Bob and I celebrated St Pat's day with breakfast and dinner out. We went to the Pantry and I had Lucky Key Lime Crepes for breakfast. The crepes were kind of a disgusting color of green but tasted very good. Still it is only something I would eat on March 17th. Later in the day we went to the Apple Orchard Inn after trying to get into the Irish Pub in town.. We bot had the Corned Beef and Cabbage. We missed our Liesl yesterday but we were able to do some shopping. We bought some coach lights for outside the garage. That will make many of you happy as our walk and drive are alway so dark.

Bob finished the closet that he built in his workshop in the basement. It is disignated for Dive gear. We took all the dive gear from several locations in the house and immediately filled it up. Now we have a closet again near the back door. I will be painting that in the next two days. Tomorrow I get to go and have a massage as I won a massage in a drawing at the hairdresser's.

Jaeger Banquet weekend

Saturday March 13th was the annual Jaeger Banquet at the Carpathia club. We invited our friend and family to join us for a night of wild game meal and dancing. Cousin Kathy and Kaethe Tante came down from Blanchard and Sister Barb came to spend the weekend. Of course the weekend started Friday night with game night. Cousin Steve and Elaine and cousin Rich and family came by as well as Clara, Barb. Gloria, Shannon, Nick and Ingrid Liesl and Jim. We played dice till about 2:30AM.
Saturday we had dinner and dancing at the club. Bob's cousin Jim and Judy and their son Andrew and friend Beth came. Scott and Melisa joined us and our friends Clara, Gary, Barb and Jackie as well as sister Barb Kathy and Kaethe Tante. My father came to dinner and did a little bit of dancing.
This morning Uncle Frank came by for coffee and breakfast of crepes and to visit with is sister. We enjoyed seeing him and his wife Carolyn. Now Bob and I are tired as a result of the two very late nights.

Girlfriend Weekend

The girlfriends and myself went to Holland Michigan last weekend for a girlfriend Weekend sponsored by the city of Holland. We had a great time. Friday morning Jackie, Barb Clara and I drove to Holland. We arrive about noon and checked into the Haworth Hotel. The remainder of the day we spent walking around downtown Holland and participating in numerous activities the stores in the area provided for about 290 participants. We were each given a bag with small gifts, coupons and such. We went gem mining at a jewelry store, made rustic coasters, and painted an acrylic painting. Friday evening we went to a comedy show in town. Saturday Sandy and Dee met us at breakfast and then we spent the day together watching a fashion show and did more shopping and activities. We brought games along and played Saturday night. We hope to go back next year. Unfortunately Ingrid was not able to go but hope that next year she can come.
