Hobbiton in Tauranga NZ

Today we arrived in Tauranga NZ early in the morning.  We bought a tour of Hobbiton. Apparently theset was supposed to be torn down after the filming of The Lord of the  Rings but poor weather and other conditions prevented it.  The farmer who owns the property thennegotiated to all the set to remain.  Itseemed like there were some 40 structures used in the movie the Hobbit. Wespent several hours walking through and photographing the individual Hobbitholes.  I have to go home and watch themovies again.  On the way to and from theHobbiton set we saw some of the most beautiful scenery in and around Tauranga.
