Tok

We just made a stop in chicken at about 1 and had our boxed lunch provided by the Tok Westmark, and of course some chicken soup. We then joined a convoy and a pilot truck to manuever through these roads which have been so easily washed out this summer.
Mud and mud everywhere. I was told that this bus has four wheel drive. The back four tires are the drive tires lol. I can't believe we are doing the majority of todays trip on. Dirt roads. That is why it will be an over 8 hour day. We are almost at the border. Arrived at the border and top of the world rd at 5PM it took us at least twice as long to get here as normal. Speeds as low as 10 to 15 mph. No more convoy. One of the trucks ahead of us began smoking just before getting to the border.
We arrived in Dawson at 8PM. We immediately went for dinner and a short walk around town then off to Diamond Tooth Gerties for some entertainment of the song and dance variety. They put on a good show but it was short. They were more interested in getting people to gamble between shows. We were so tired that we left shortly after the show. I put a donation of 1 dollar in the slots.
