Dawson to Whitehorse

Today we are traveling to Whitehorse along the Klondike river valley. The weather is still dismal and drizzling just a bit.
Our first stop was the tintina trench which is where two tectonic plates meet. The fault line runs along the yukon or vis versa. Apparently the gold in this area was brought up by tectonic movement. We stopped for a break at a quaint little cafe lodge.
Our bus broke down on the side of the road about 30 miles from our lunch stop. Another bus picked us up to take us to lunch and there we are waited for a replacement bus. We are waiting in Carmacks Yukon. Another bus happened to be 15 minutes ahead of us and had dropped their passengers for lunch and then came back for us. We were able to walk around and have lunch in Carmacks. It was a nice location on the Yukon river. We spent an extra 2 hours in our lunch stop when we were finally picked up. We arrived in Whitehorse in time to eat and go to bed.
