Tok to Dawson

We just made a stop in Chicken at about 1 and had our boxed lunches provided by the Tok Westmark and of course some chicken soup. We joined a convoy and a pilot r
truck to manuever through these roads which have been so easily washed out this summer. Mud and mud everywhere. I was told that this bus has four wheel drive in that four of the six wheels are the driving wheels and the front for steering and maneuvering. it did feel like we could have been four wheeling at times. The roads were narrow and it took us 3 hurs to go 40 miles at one point. We arrived at the border at 5 and ditched the convoy there. One of the vehicles in the convoy succembed to smoking and was left behind their fate uncertain. (I am certain one of the pilot trucks stopped. We arrived at Dawson about 8, in time to eat and go to the show at Diamond Tooth Gerties.
