Australia Nov 18, 2012
Today we docked in Noumea which is the capital of New Caledonia.  It was a typical large city.  It has mainly beach all around and lots of sailboats and other tour boats.  The city center was disappointing with litter and graffiti.  We just took a long bus trip around the city and then did some walking in the city.  We missed out on the glass bottom boat trip.  We were told that the reef was much healthier here in New Caledonia.  We will have to come back and do some diving.  There was some kind of regatta of decorated boats out in the harbor today.
